Privacy Policy
The SAKURA Project (hereinafter referred to as "Project") has established the following privacy policies in regard to the handling of personal information.
1. Continuous Improvement of Legal Compliance and Personal Information Management System
This policy shall handle personal information appropriately in compliance with privacy laws and regulations. To continuously improve and maintain appropriate and reliable personal data protection, periodic status reviews shall be conducted.
2. Acquisition and Use of Personal Information
The Project shall clarify the purpose and use of personal information and use it within the range necessary to attain the intended purpose of use.
3. Purpose of Use
The purpose of use of personal information shall be posted on the Project's website. Other purposes of use shall be stated clearly at the time of acquisition.
4. Proper Acquisition
The Project shall acquire personal information to the necessary extent for business in a lawful and appropriate manner.
5. Handling of Anonymized Information
Creation or provision of anonymized processed information as stipulated in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, shall be handled by the Project in compliance with the laws and regulations, as well as Project-related rules.
6. Safety and Accuracy
To ensure the accuracy and security of personal information, the Project shall maintain the personal information in its possession with necessary, accurate, and up-to-date appropriate security control measures to prevent leaks.
7. Personal information provided to third party
The Project shall not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual, aside from the following exceptions:
- Cases based on the law.
- Cases requiring the protection of a person's life, body, or property while obtaining consent from the individual is difficult.
- Cases requiring public health improvement or fostering children's healthy development while obtaining consent from the individual is difficult.
8. Supervision of Contractors
For the performance of its business operations, the Project may outsource the handling of personal information.
In cases of outsourcing, necessary contracts, conduct management, and supervision to ensure appropriate security control shall be conducted.
9. Procedures for Disclosure
The Project shall promptly respond to concerned individuals requesting personal information usage-purpose notification, disclosure of contents requests, or in cases of personal data content is inaccurate; upon confirmation of the identity of the individual making the request, the Project shall respond appropriately in compliance with the law for the termination of use, deletion, and or termination of provision to third parties.
